I’m really excited to see God’s plan for me whatever it is, and I appreciate all the support from people I know and don’t know . :) I love the people I meet and the friendships I've made just in this short time because of where my business takes me, and I love what I do. <3
When I decided to pursue putting together a styled shoot I reached out to different vendors through Facebook. Chloe saw this and contacted me about being involved. Fortunately I did not have a photographer and she happily agreed to become a part of the process. She has been the backbone behind this photo shoot and it would not be possible without her. I see such great things in her future and cannot wait to see where her talents take her. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for every ounce of effort you have made to make this dream become a reality.
When did you start Chloe Giancola photography?
Chloe Giancola Photography officially started last year :) I married my best friend in May, and throughout the wedding planning I knew what I wanted to do more than anything…become a photographer! I waited until after all the planning and wedding was over, so I could focus completely and really dive into everything photography. Teaching myself my camera, studying anything I could, and being guided by the photographer who ultimately inspired me Rebecca Cerasani Photography.
How did you become interested in photography?
I always loved photography, and taking pictures in college, but I did not know anything about cameras, composition, or editing. After Nathaniel and I got engaged I began searching for our wedding photographer. I had no idea how much I loved it until I came across her website! I realized soon after that this was my calling, as I still was finishing up my B.S. Psychology degree at UGA. After graduation I knew what I wanted to do more than anything, start my own photography business. At the time it was a little scary, but I put my trust in the Lord and His Will for me. My husband also was so supportive and wanted me to pursue what I loved <3 I knew I’d rather fail at something I loved, than succeed at something I didn’t want to be doing :)
What is an average day like in your job?
It varies day to day, it’s usually a mix of shooting and/or editing, emails, blogging, and any other tasks that need to be done! I like to try to be done with everything when my husband gets home, because that time is precious to me and most important!
What fires you up?
Hmm…a lot?! Ha Seeing love between people, between families, couples, and that produces beautiful images, which I love so much! “We love because he first loved us.” (1 John 4:19) I want to capture the blessings in people’s lives! Of course other things that fire me up: cute, personal details, beautiful sunlight in photos, and pure joy captured in my photos.
What is your favorite place for photoshoots? :)
I’m up for anywhere, but if I could choose? Put me outside! In the sun, in a field with flowers, or by the ocean. If we are talking locations? I’d go to Savannah or the Caribbean in a heartbeat, and I might not come back ;)
