Talk about a night to remember! Singer-songwriter and blues vocalist EG Kight blew away the Live Music in the Pines audience with her soulful tune and southern charm. Listeners were in for quite the treat as they were part of Kight’s live solo recording with music producer, Glenn Rivers. As a Georgia Native, Kight brings her “country-flavored southern-fried blues,” to the stage with a flawless combination of poise and sass. Her lyrics transcended the audience into joyful, serious and comedic experiences, making her a true storyteller through her melodies.
This Live Music in the Pines was a spectacular evening of blues, jazz and twang with tributes to legends like Etta James with “At Last” and The Animals with “House of the Rising Sun.” Kight’s impeccable hail to the classics only scratched the surface of the soulful night as she sang her catchy tunes and singles from her latest album, Lip Service. When the shades went on, you knew a jazzy tune like “You Can Have My Husband” was about to fill the barn with a get-up-and-dance kind of vibe! Kight pushed harmonious boundaries in the most brilliant way with her blend of musical backgrounds and the immaculate flare of her stage presence.
Needless to say, this performance delivered a standing ovation at its conclusion. We adore our Georgia Songbird and have been enthralled yet again by her second performance at The Barn!
